Firefly
A soft beetle with
a little doom,
I bleed my light
under the moon,
the midnight hour
peaks through dark,
I'm roaming around
with a little spark.
Giving off light to all I see,
but this firefly,
who rescues me?
I don't see a light
other than my own,
but I keep flying here,
shining all alone.
The trees say hello
with swaying leaves,
their lullaby at dawn
puts me at ease.
darkness I've conquered
through another night.
But I pray tomorrow
another firefly is in sight.
a little doom,
I bleed my light
under the moon,
the midnight hour
peaks through dark,
I'm roaming around
with a little spark.
Giving off light to all I see,
but this firefly,

I don't see a light

but I keep flying here,
shining all alone.

But I pray tomorrow
