Shattered
The vase, a relic, broken a long time ago
Had been left in pieces throughout the centuries
Some tried to put it together, bloodied fingers and all
Leaving their mark like harsh reminders of the impossible
Then someone with hatred and anger came along
Shattered whatever hope was left, into a million pieces
And now there they are, with no peace and no patience
As hands and feet are cut by the fragments, piercing their souls
