Image for the poem starlit

starlit

it's twilight inside
it's too dark to see now
I reach out to feel your soul
and I can't find you

in my chambers weep
it's too cold here
I sing myself to sleep
where I can dream of starlight

twin stars finding each other in the night
where the dawn doesn't interrupt
and awaken my happiness with sadness
where ghosts don't lurk
and I don't have to be anybody but me

lying with you
our souls touching
and the dark fades away
the light of your smile caresses
and all is right again
