Reflections
I watched your face reflected in the waters of the sky
Drops that mourned a regretful goodbye
Long-aged, fermented in the tears we shed
where lost “I love you”s echoed in my head
Now whisperings & scents of oaken spirits
Sung by breezes mirroring your lyrics
Return belief that you might love again
And bury grief with all false claims of sin
Do you hear the sunrise speak my name?
Do you see desire’s heart, every day the same
When palm fronds wave a wishful sigh
In hope you’ll someday turn “goodbye” to “hi”
So sing our songs in secret harmonies
Until Someday our chained passions find the keys
Unlocking freedom for our love to LIVE
your pleasure I desire to give
Drops that mourned a regretful goodbye
Long-aged, fermented in the tears we shed
where lost “I love you”s echoed in my head
Now whisperings & scents of oaken spirits
Sung by breezes mirroring your lyrics
Return belief that you might love again
And bury grief with all false claims of sin
Do you hear the sunrise speak my name?
Do you see desire’s heart, every day the same
When palm fronds wave a wishful sigh
In hope you’ll someday turn “goodbye” to “hi”
So sing our songs in secret harmonies
Until Someday our chained passions find the keys
Unlocking freedom for our love to LIVE
your pleasure I desire to give
