At a loss for words

We are told that there are 150 different versions
Of the Bible.....in English alone

There also 1,000 different versions
Of the King James Bible

''The United Bible Societies
Lists more than 600 different translations
In over 2,000 languages.''

Imagine
So where does it all start...
From the oral traditions
All the different tales more than once told
And retold
Before being witten down hundreds of years later

Imagine the grammatical errors
(Just sounds may differ in dialects..)
Imagine the tired monk writing ''this'' instead of ''that''
Or whatever and giving headaches to countless searchers
Down the centuries

Imagine some scribe rewriting passages to his taste
Because he did not like what was there before.

The Babel tower is a nice image for the mess
Of the Bible.
