Raspberry Fields
I climb up high one foot on one rock until I reach the top
The sky is that perfect blended orange in reddish pink
Sitting on this wall I look over the raspberry fields
Red berries glimmering in that sunset light
Shimmering jewels in their safety net of thorns
If only I could have that... To drape myself in thorns
Protecting this raspberry heart from the world
The intrusive thoughts cloud my mind and I close my eyes
Trust fall into raspberry fields under sherbet sky
One can't tell the sweet juice and the dark ruby blood
Thorns finally protecting my heart and the world is perfect
The sky is that perfect blended orange in reddish pink
Sitting on this wall I look over the raspberry fields
Red berries glimmering in that sunset light
Shimmering jewels in their safety net of thorns
If only I could have that... To drape myself in thorns
Protecting this raspberry heart from the world
The intrusive thoughts cloud my mind and I close my eyes
Trust fall into raspberry fields under sherbet sky
One can't tell the sweet juice and the dark ruby blood
Thorns finally protecting my heart and the world is perfect
