From the Shadows

I see her from the shadows  
A girl whose beauty never fades  
For she glows with vibrant radiance  
From every step she's ever made

I've never had the courage  
To approach her in the light  
So I remain within the shadows  
Admiring her from afar, night after night

I watch her from a distance  
As she laughs and smiles with ease  
And I long to ask her for a dance  
Or a moment to simply breathe

But fear and doubt consume me  
And so I stand within the dark  
Watching her as she moves and grooves  
Wishing to share just one small spark

Perhaps one day I'll tell her  
The way I feel beneath the skin  
That her beauty is more than meets the eye  
And it's her soul that glows from within

But for now, from within the shadows  
I will love her from the unknown  
For who am I to disrupt her light  
Or risk breaking my heart alone

So I'll continue to stand tall  
In the pitch-black of the night  
Watching as she sparks up life  
Before fading out of sight

And though we may never meet  
I'll always carry her in my heart  
For she's the flame that guides me  
To find my way out from the dark.
