Just So You Know

I never know what’s going on here. I can understand one shrouding themselves in a bit of mystery when online, but I cannot understand why people lie about such things as having cancer when in fact they do not (as an example from your list). The desperation to be noticed by, well, anyone I guess, makes people do incredibly dumb fucking things.

I honestly never know whays going on either but I just happened to stumble upon something I couldn't ignore then went down a rabbit hole uncovering a lot weird shit.
That's my girl, Mama Ladybird Nelson. She lives on my porch with her son Mike Morris. She's fixed so is he living their best life now.

I love a kitty who is living their best life. I have a horde outside that I take care of. One of those is a sassy, very dirty lady or gentleman, he/she won’t let me look, that is known as Miss Barbara Boots. She’s a lady in my eyes 🤷🏻‍♀️. Her nemesis is one aging, Hateful Hazel.
Cats rock.

I found an odd thing here once and went diving as well. Discovered a YouTube channel with interesting and kind of weird things that this person does. People of the internet. What else can one say.

What could be a more central idea to poetry than freedom of speech?

Unfortunately, we now live in a country where that very freedom gives some folks permission to be their worst selves possible, and all social media just extends that permissiveness even further.

Eerie is right regarding anonymity, but I've noticed a lot of avatars that only seem to exist very briefly, and I see a lot of deleted comments from anonymous. That's pretty weird. I can only speculate that when someone with severe social anxiety gets mixed with an identity crisis, then presto, you have the recipe for poor conduct. Who is it who can't stand by a comment they make?

I'm super real and I guess I expect that but I know I shouldn't because this is the internet.
Some of the stuff here is just dastardly.

Agree ... Definitely been greatly soured by it all ... I just stick to a few who I like ... Bless and love ...

I guess there are dark corners everywhere. I've not stumbled across that path.  Just that some come and go, like happens everywhere in the internet arena. Keep your circle small .. sorry you have run into that here.

I have nothing but appreciation for speaking up to reveal such explosive truths. This is a poetic delivery of a much needed awakening, exposing some extremely sad and surprising realities of those who apparently thrive in trying to gaslight others.... smh.  

Just when I thought I couldn't be surprised by people... damn.

Made me think of a beautiful album by Santana, Beyond Appearances.

Totally on board with this write. Sometimes certain accounts or certain posts don't seem right or have a weird feel to them. I stay away from them simply because I refuse to get buy into the story or scam. We're here for poetry, some are open to (virtual) friendships even as the screen of anonymity comes down. But I guess there are people starved for attention that they're willing to create another reality, working a web of lies that they end up believing themselves. Not sure we're probably thinking of the same one but I peek from time to time and wonder, WTF.

And like Honoria said, the cat is boss.

One has to understand what they are dealing with on the media. It's not a pretty pictures. O have faults and I am very judgmental, but i have my self respect. It boils down to one thing. There are assholes everywhere.
