Shards
I’m but shattered glass, fragments that aren’t to be touched
Forever lost in an emotional maze, but who gives a fuck
The light has never sought me out or led me
Forever lost around my next turn is an ever elusive destiny
But watch your step or you might feel me
Those shards in your feet are the real me
Dug in so fucking deep and pain’s exit is so far away
Relief, the bitch, refuses to help me or pay
I feel as if I’m sewage moving slowly beneath the city
The creation of everyone but hidden and doomed to feel shitty
The darkened sky that I adore is nothing more than the concrete beneath their feet
I’m sentenced to a darkened odor of an existence wiped on every sheet
Hahaha, do you feel my shards as life backs up and overflows
When the darkness is everywhere with no wheres to go
A chandelier has fallen in my life and shards cover the floor
That odor is seeping up through the sidewalks of life forever demanding more
Who’s will to take a fire walk, to welcome my shards
There will be blood and pain, but the walk isn’t that hard
Simply place one foot in front of the other, and I’ll cut my way in
Into your blood stream and a maze of passages leading to where your sins begin
Veins and arteries, yes sewage passages beneath you
The odor is stifling with confusing pain as I slowly move through
My shards digging in even deeper, sprouting roots, nurturing your pain
You then finally agree to merge fragments with your shattered remain
Forever lost in an emotional maze, but who gives a fuck
The light has never sought me out or led me
Forever lost around my next turn is an ever elusive destiny
But watch your step or you might feel me
