Somewhere Near The Bend
Only the water knew his name.
In the river he bathed.
In the river he stayed.
A handful of stones.
A pile of bones.
Over time, everything he was washed away.
In the river he bathed.
In the river he stayed.
A handful of stones.
A pile of bones.
Over time, everything he was washed away.

Once more your life commentary contains so much in a small package ... A bit awed by your ability and your photos skill ... Bless and love ... .

Dear N,
I know how he feels. I agree with Fenyx you are a master at saying so much with such brevity. This is a great write and lovely pic. You’re getting a 🏆 as I continue to work out my RL shortage sitch! H🌷

The lilt of rhyme counterpoints the pathos in quite a proportional way. There is a sense of grit to your writing that is uniquely yours I think, but also subtle depth.

...washed away in the shallows of the The Rubicon. I wish I could write like this...seriously. Good poem.

Love the darken rainbow. In the end we are all washed away to bones or even nothing.
Relatable write.
