Anhelare
it’s the thickening of
our voices as we stare
between us, marveling
at how perfectly we fit -
all at once,
we are connected
by a thread of something
everything
holding our attention rapt
the air grows heavy,
dipping into our limbs;
we cast shadows against
the landscape of skin,
reaching for the atmosphere
of quickened breaths
galaxies exist in the
splendor of your eyes dilated;
my creation lies within
and without ~
your sacred geometry,
your ancient forests
hide your secrets;
but I want them every one ~
speak them in hushed tones
just outside my ear;
I’ll keep them safe for you
and comes elation;
the possibilities
of touch and taste, and of bliss
in this state of purposeful agony;
anticipation begs to be confined
by time and will;
how long before
we surrender?
our voices as we stare
between us, marveling
at how perfectly we fit -
all at once,
we are connected
by a thread of something
everything
holding our attention rapt
the air grows heavy,
dipping into our limbs;
we cast shadows against
the landscape of skin,
reaching for the atmosphere
of quickened breaths
galaxies exist in the
splendor of your eyes dilated;
my creation lies within
