I know the light doesn't always prevail in this world, but it's good to be reminded that it is there...somewhere
Excellent.

Where there is birth there is death, similarly where there is darkness there is definitely light. The cycle goes on. Well thanks you for visiting, reading and responding. I'm glad that you liked my write up. It's a pleasure for me that you are here. Thanks 🙏

This is a short and simple yet effective poem that conveys a powerful message. The imagery of a candle overcoming darkness is a familiar and universal one, and you have used it here to great effect. The use of short phrases and line breaks creates a sense of tension and urgency, which is then resolved by the image of peace prevailing. The personification of the candle as fulfilling its duty with full devotion adds a touch of reverence to the poem, while the final line provides a sense of closure and resolution.

"The candle blinds the darkness" I love that. The light fulfills, yeah light has a habit of taking up space. Awesome layout.

The poem does seem to have the shape of a one-candle stick - intentional?
