Silent killer

I will love you till death do us part
Said  in bed to his gorgeous wife June
Who was totally bored as she let go a silent fart
As hubby tried to ignore the invisible fume

He would not such unpleasantness lead to discord
As she got up to answer a bathroom call
He preferred to reach for the air freshener by the sideboard
And, as usual and for the moment forget it all

Still, after a while, love aside, it became too much
Even as she profusely offered separate bedrooms
The scents of the farts outbid the lust
Divorce came for the now ex-husband, ex-groom

A sad end to an exquisite love life
Which did because of  human strife.
