Autumn Nymph

Autumn Nymph

autumn nymph
whose camellia shoulders
are bared to the midnight moon
like the cream of Milky Way dreams
naked as the stars of Cassiopeia
in the October night sky

hearth light twinkles
in her unbidden tears
for season’s colors faded
into snowy quiet
tawny lashes dusted in black powder
to match the evening sky

her black flag blouse
covers her limbo navel
where the magic
of her holy blonde fleece
finds refuge in the dark la mer
of silent skirts
that cascade across hips
and fall in a pool at her ankles
to hide her most sacred secrets
