When I see various clients, it blows my mind how much nervous snack eating they do at their desks especially when they are close to deadlines! That inspired this poem and painting.

I must admit, the 'lush' chocolate cupcake with blueberry icing did look extremely inviting. You too are of course one outstanding artist here on DUP. Naturally, I am sorry to learn you are suffering from writer's block but I like the way you're trying to coax your way out of it! I am permanently in a semi-state of writer's block but I'm ok with that because it's all I've ever known. I am an inspirational writer, meaning, I often have to find a source elsewhere than in my mind. You may have noticed lately that a few DUP members have provided me with that continuity. 😉

I am also loving and wanting the chocolate cupcake! Actually, I’m not suffering from writer’s block thankfully! I’ve been around a few people who get through any “blocks” with snacks. The poem just kind of unfolded with that theme and became a fun get away topic. I am having difficulty staying away from all the candy and cookie offers! Valentine candy is still out there! But, I am staying strong, aside from an ice cream night. 🤫  I painted real fruit which is good in the diet, but in actuality no fruit offers came in, lol.
Thank you very much regarding my art, that means a lot to me!

As I sit here and read this poem I am in awe as well as impressed. The way this poem flows is perfect. The painting is extravagant. Together they make a symphony!

If it's any conciliation, I ate eight mini chocolate donuts with a glass of milk earlier.  Only eight because I ran out.  Lol.
But now I'm craving cold watermelon dipped in warm caramel!  It's awesome!  

Awesome painting, too!  The little woman in the palm of the hand. Is by chance her name "Wilma" Power?   She's your subconscious, saying dig in!  

Oh, those little chocolate donuts are the best and especially refrigerated. The chocolate becomes just right and goes great with milk…. Yeah, I got lost for a moment… that little woman in the painting is my subconscious for sure!

As always, your craft is awesome and inspiring. There is an innate sensualness in the decadent desire to sate all the senses, so I find this poem much more multidimensional than one would assume. I also gained 3 pounds reading this, so if your purpose was to make poets fat, you have seceded admirably.  

I wanted to show the thoughts…(the cravings) along with reality peaking in… the pencil, the usb cable and hand etc. Innocent guilt over pleasures  (real and imagined). So thank you for mentioning the multidimensional aspect! It means a lot to me and I value the observations in your writings as well. Thank you!

In my fitness journey, I’ve learned not to deny myself anything, just keep it in calorie range. Or throw in 20 minutes of treadmill to burn off the cookie! I’m happy you stopped by and I’m glad you like the writing! Thank you!

Cool you mentioned the mediums as well… yes I used oil on the paper too. I’ve done mixed mediums with acrylic and oil on canvas but never before with paper. I was trying to bring out the flesh in the watermelon with the richer oil pigments. The paper handled it! I like the outcome. Everything is blurrier when I upload pics here and doesn’t intimately show the textures but you get the idea. I am working on a few coloring books and this will go into it. But I love your idea of a children’s book. Yes, a usb cord and a pencil through the watermelon lol!  Thanks for the excitement you always bring! xoxo
