A soft rain fell through warm air
Yesterday

Falling onto the snowdrops
Even as they held out their skirts
Bright and bold against the detritus of winter
Rain after an uncharacteristically dry winter
Unclogging the pores of the garden
Allowing it to breathe
Renewing the green leaves to their spring hue
