The Warmth Returns
I emerge from the enigmatic night.
Dawn's light feels lavish, warming my cells from the perpetual chill of life.
There is a peculiar warmth to this random February day.
The birdcall sounds more like that of a spring rendition.
Lulled by the songbirds tweet, a warm breeze of hope and possibility blows through my hollows.
Soon it will be time for earth and underlying emotions to thaw.
The loins of the hard frozen ground, will soften giving way to the nascency of a tulip bulb.
With her lanceolate leaves, this spring temptress beckons my soul to rise from hibernation
On a hunt for all life's warm little ecstasies.....
