Black satin stone

The pulsing of the lonesome rains
Wetting the sterile desert fabric
Fondling distinction
A wrinkle
of
ill-design

Whispers of the violin
Intimate and soft spoken
Melodic intrigue
The cadence
of
grace

Footsteps
On black satin stone
The promise
of
haste in the valley

Zephyrs
Colliding with ardor
Tickling the bells of the watchtower
The shrill
of
the wandering winds
Maundering into vocal souvenirs
The thunderous endeavour of tenor

A silver laced fiddler
His feverish pace
Confining;
The wile
of
a lonesome child

Spirits chanting galactic incantations
Their deep jangles
Like the sprinkling
of
jewels on heaven’s skin
Their facets cutting into the ivory
Carving gallantry
On the face
of
this mottled crimson warrior

Swirling melodious sentiment
Twisting the fibres of curiosity’s blanket
Winding the miles of awe
Quelling meddlesome class

The lilt of waning melancholy
Seizing
The anonymity
of
spectral fetters
Unclasped and withering
Hallow recollections
Pacify
The percussion
of
innocence

Guttural musings seducing a welter of words
Empty parchment pining for a quill
Perception
Penned with authentic emotion
Tempered wisdom
from the age
of
plagues
