Perspective Of Life
i thought to write a sad poem
then look out my window at the rising Sun
serenading life over the horizon
sending out its eternal cozmik invitation
for a soul-bathing gathering
to all within its radiant radius and said maaaaan...
go get you some of those rays
....
i thought to write an angry poem
then i saw a beautiful woman walk by in a colorful sundress
with effortless posture gracing her backbone
with hips seemingly swaying
on a dais of pure femininity and mused...
what was i mad about again?
....
i thought to write a poem about nihilism
or engage one of my many conspiracy theories [oh lord]
then i saw children playing in the park
running through the sprinkler with carefree laughter
in their little voices spreading infectious joy
and i smiled to myself thinking...
isn't life just grand?
....
