If I come into your neighborhood and my intention is to heal your neighborhood
I don't want to go to the preachers, or any politicians, those people are already eating good
But if I'm building a house I need to start with a good strong foundation
I need to start with the guys on the corners, the people that for whatever reason are homeless

I need to ask them for whatever reason, how have we failed them
It can't be as simple a matter of them not trying or catching bad breaks
Could it have more to do with our ability to turn a blind eye
We see but don't see what is happening with another human

Our only concern is me, us, and mine
This is not the natural order of things and anything unnatural is evil
Because nature and god is one and the same
The natural order is that we co-exist and share even the smallest of grains

But somewheres along the line, we decided that someone must reign
It started with the strongest or the ones the most daring
But it was just our luck that the system got even more corrupt
Even more unworthy leaders started teaching that it was all about themselves

They wanted to know who could bow the lowest while giving the most
Who would feed them, while their families starved
Who would sacrifice life and limbs for ideologies totally in the ruler's mind
Sacrifice their decedents for concepts developed without them in mind

All for the sake of the king and queen, but who are they without loyal subjects
Subject that are willing to die on the battle field for a chance to bow
Subjects that are willing to sacrifice their home, the earth, for royal comfort
Subjects that are willing to starve each other and see each other homeless, for the throne?
