Paranoid
I am not paranoid
It is just that I don't feel comfortable in a crowd
I know there are at least one or two looking at me the wrong way
Especially in the crowded subway,
People always looking to crush me
I am not paranoid
I just stand ready, fists clenched
And a defensive tool at the ready.

Relatable write for so many of us. Anxiety, especially in a crowded situation will heighten my nerves. It’s never comfortable and I’m so relieved when I can get out. I really appreciated this piece and its raw honesty. H🌷
