The sky has thoroughfares
for birds to fly
The sea has highways
for fish to swim
and what have I
but my mind's eye

The clouds they flit by
today a pretty puff
tomorrow messy rain
so fleeting the beauty
so sad the end

So why sigh with sadness
why thrive on sorrow
why shed tears at losses

and lovers
