Maybe I'm not in vogue but I don't think you're ever too old to feel that beautiful agony of a crush. Falling so desperate for someone and so hard that they penetrate your every waking moment... Ohhh sigh. Sometimes that intensity is a stepping stone and yes, sometimes it's pain, incarnate (not the good kind) but either way, it's the gorgeous ferocity of a hearty well worn and much used life.. . And isn't that what it's all about??!
