You'll always love them.
Wonder why the do what they do.
Handsome little fellow.
His wild nature is true.
I'll do my best to raise him how to be a man.

It's tough if you got a smart one. Teaching him to reason helps. I was able to at least talk my little man down from a tantrum by talking at him and not down to him.
I think I heard a saying once and it stuck in my head.... "Teach your child to raise up to your expectations, instead of talking down to him with your disrespect."
My boy came home and asked me one day, "Why does Timmy's mommy and daddy scream at him to do everything. You ask me to do stuff and don't scream at me." What do you say to that? All I could say was that he was a good boy and it not Timmy's fault it's his parents for not learning to talk to him on his level.
