Doctor Babble

The meanderings of a fool
language getting the best of him
excess in a format that prides succinctness
without the intelligence to change

Drabble, muddle, and bifurcate
even weaving contradictions supreme
at least aware that one in attendance
he knows better then all---himself

Extrapolations on matters that seemingly
society regards as trite or trivial
a thought piece to himself
with concrete evidence via a supposed "composition"

Hoping that the process of writing assuages
the most sensory filled concepts
and tame the inner beast
like the sounds of Bach, Brahms, Davis, or Coltrane

Hopefully not madness in that the dialogue with self
is recognized when interest in selected themes
catches no ones' eyes
creation purely for an intrinsic satisfaction

The summation and brevity mastered by skilled writers
a domain often visualized but actualized to little
paralyzation by analyzation
a blanket on delicious word play

Saving grace is he never claimed to be elegant
but finds solace in ownership of the words penned
being exclusively his own
and tomorrow brings another day...
