A Personal Reading
Each word
pulls at me,
kneeding
and aching,
as the meaning
penetrates
that inner knowing.
The lines
awaken
desire's
understanding,
affection,
and admiration.
The elements
propose an onslaught
of sensation.
And each
memory made
calls me
to flesh out
these feelings,
illusion
and fantasy,
only thinking,
only sinking,
only elaborating
the painting
my thoughts send,
wet words,
moist lips,
and tender excursions
onto those delicates
as they pass
your unyielding
yet yielding display.
