the reality of you
you jilted my feeling and cut out my heart
so you could eat it
I taste of vulnerability, I taste of weakness
you wanted my fear I wouldn't give it to you
I hate your hunger
it was greedy and unyielding with no room for me in reality
I was an idea or a second thought
nothing too real
when you look into me you saw regret
I regret you
in a cold detached way I stare into you
I saw it was missing, your soul
held up and taken for ransom
but even monsters feel
don't they?
don't they?
you ate my heart and I let you have it
but your callous mind couldn't touch the soul of me
you growled and I pull away
I walked that day
you know in your heart
I am what you will never be again
