Time is bittersweet

When we held you in ours arms right after you were born,
we had no idea time would slip away so fast
and you girls would one day become women.

Its seems so unrealistic for me/us to look at you two beautiful ladies,
all grown up, and maybe a little sassy (I will take credit for that)
ready to take on the devil himself
like hed have  the nerve, right?

We went from hair bows, to make up in the blink of an eye
and then there were the boys, lord almighty
Oh lord all the boys, they STILL wont go away
Lucky your Dad is the cooler, calmer one, you know this...

Its hard for me and your Dad to watch this spectacular transformation
with dry eyes
Yet we are are smiles, miles wide
because we know we did well for you and raised you right.

Letting you go with both hands is something were struggling with,
therefore were sorry if you feel us tugging you back a little
Its only because we love more than youll ever understand
You are our most precious achievement in life

To our beautiful ladies, shine on,
shine brighter than any star
the world might gasp at what they see
for they have never seen anything this spectacular before
