BLACKOUT

Sometimes storms knockout our power
As sinister twisters try to devour
When sweet becomes sour & nauseating
Effects of which becoming debilitating

Reconnecting to that which brings de-light
Is what we must do to improve our sight
Nights like this, I wish, raindrops would fall
To cleanse the spirit so it can stand up tall

The calls of the wild evokes our deepest fears
Then desires of hibernation til coasts are clear
The Sun appears after persevering darkness
And after enduring some flight or fight stress
