You can't have me, I refuse to be born
Me and your soul refuse to be torn
For all my life we were as one
Now separated by birth hell's begun

You can't hear me as I cry for food
But I've gotta be careful you may be in a bad mood
From fear to discomfort, they're all new to me
But you're in another world you can't hear me

You can't see me as you pass me on the stoop
As your intoxicated eyes droop
As I move past youth
As I realize the truth

You can't feel me, unprepared for life
Taking up a family, unprepared for life
I can't know love I've never been taught
I couldn't reveal that for which I still sought

The pressure, the strain, refused to go away
It makes me yearn for the days that me and your soul would play
I can hear whispers from within
To take a chance and bring it to an end

Maybe everything will start over again
Different people but the same soul for a friend
Maybe my solution is in this vial
It's gonna take more than that, I've been at it for a while

I can't see you, as I pass you on the stoop
As my intoxicated eyes droop
As you move past youth
As you realize the truth
