When Your Heart Breaks
Tears spill from your eyes as he silently walks away
Leaving you alone in the pouring rain like a movie scene
Though it's not a movie scene it's reality and it's happened to you
You've been lied to and you've been played a fool
Sobbing as you come through your apartment door dripping wet
Seeing you brown eyes baby girl you only cry harder
The baby girl you had mad together who no longer has her father
He walked away because he simply did not want to stay
When your heart breaks it's hard to look upon a happy face

Sitting on the sofa can hear mommy yelling at daddy
Daddy stumbling around bouncing off every wall
Slurried words and dazed confused actions
My Daddy's Drunk Again
Daddy likes his beer and his cigarettes every night
Twelve pack twenty four pack whatever he can get
Popping top after top until they are all gone

Mommy's screaming at daddy again about how pathetic he is
Saying how can we afford beer when we can't afford food for her

What is wrong with me that he would cheat on me
I do everything for me and he cheats in me
Talking to his ex and sneaking around on me
Strutting around making a fool outta me

Lena is laying on the bathroom floor Again
Needle in hand as she breathes in and breaths out
Watching as her world begins to spin around her
Feeling as free as a bird in the air how she loves the thrill
Lena injects another round of poison deep with her veins
At 22 it's all she's ever known mommy and daddy taught her well
Taking hit after hit to forget their constant abuse
