Buoyancy
I heap my worries into the flames
Of the campfire in my backyard
Where smoke carries away old shames
Into a welkin myriad starred.
Add in the embers floating high
From all the residual heat
Making its way into the sky
To make full circle thoughts complete
In epicycles that lap the mind
As if they meant to humble me
More than a random sting unkind
From an industrious bumble bee,
Who, like an ember in the night,
Inspires with his carefree flight.

Add in the embers floating high
From all the residual heat

Inspires with his carefree flight.
