Final Moments
There will come a day when nothing from your past matters
Your mistakes will no longer haunt you
Your lies will no longer be held against you
All that will matter is what you did n your final moments
When you realize you only have hours left here on earth
Will you call your children saying how much you love them
Will you listen to the song that played at your wedding day on repeat
What will matter to you in your final moments
Laying in your hospital bed staring at that heat monitor
Will you pray to Jesus asking him to bless your tired soul
Will you talk to God about the sins you've preformed long ago
What will you do in your final moments
The truth is nothing will matter when you realize your dying
Not the harsh words you spoke after award day at work
Not the burnt anniversary dinner you served your husband with tears in your eyes
Nothing will matter in your Final moments other than forgiveness
In you final moments forgive yourself for your mistakes
Forgive your brother for that argument that tore you both apart
Forgive yourself for wishing your babies would leave you alone for five minutes
In those last bittersweet final moments Forgive yourself
In your final moments love yourself for who you were
Respect yourself for the valuable lessons you were taught
Applaud yourself for conquering every obstacle put in your path
Be proud of who you are and who you were in the final moments
