I absolutely love the imagery in this poem, the chain links are a magnificent mental picture.    
(the imagery of the taught pull, that keeps us together.) Fabulous Faith!  
"word warriors" - so much is said in 2 words, and much like the chain above it, the standing together and looking after each other, brought warmth to me.    
the last stanza sums it all up beautifully that step we take, trying something new, not knowing where it will take us.  
 
Loved the image attached here too.

Your poem has me thinking of how courageous we all are in putting ourselves out there and sharing our dearest thoughts in such an honest way. Each stanza has such an innocence to it in showing us how we’re all similar. I think this piece expresses poetry in its purest form. Wonderful write! H🌷

Your comments made my heart smile. Thank you for one of the greatest compliments I have ever received to have written something in it's purest form. That means so much.

I became aware at a very young age of the risk a writer takes when putting his writing "out there!" I embraced it more from a challenge angle and before the Internet came, I compulsivly submitted my work to editors. My dream was to see my name in print. Even though I got my share of rejection letters back, I never let it discourage me. I simply sent something else out. Eventually, it paid off and I got published. It was always worth it.

What I love about poetry is that we are all connected — it is as simple and as complicated as that. Whether or not we like it or not, we all become a part of each other’s story. Sometimes it is good to be reminded of that simple fact.

Although the connection is instable/unstable, through your poem we can be connected.  
The whole thing is brimful lof beauty. And, like many before me, I was stricken bij the ‘word worrior’ part.  

Is stricken with ck? Strike, stricken? One day I’ll be word perfect.
