Love Goes All The Way

There is a Spanish
Song

Where a mother
Visits

Her son
Who is about to

Be

Executed

In those days
They
Had to ring
A bell

In order to
Execute a prisoner

Following
A
Tearful departure

The son
Awaits
The executioner

But the bell doesn’t ring
And they
Have to let him go

As he is
Being released

Someone falls
From
The bell tower

He runs over
Seeing
His mother

She had held the bell
Stopping it from ringing

“Mama.  You didn’t have to do that.”

“Yes I did.

Because love goes all the way.”
