Adorned (NaPoWriMo 2022 #18)

Days without jewellery
plain, unadorned,
lacking sparkle
and magic
un-fated attempts
at doing.

When I do,
I wear an Ankh.

To be reborn
each day,
auraed in destiny
as the Pharaohs were,
vitality infused
potent potentiality
animated and energised.

Gold,
Bold Fortune,
radiate bright like skin.
Silver,
Steady Reliability,
foundations like bones.
Steel chain,
Impervious and Resolute,
armoured and ready.
