Evanescence
Wispy, whispered clouds crawl
lazily across retreating midnight
as if they, from fleeting experience
know nothing will last forever.
Sublime sun’s shine awakens
boldly beneath the sleeping horizon
as if he, from steadfast observation
believes he will be the one to persist.
But the munificent moon just smiles
kindly across the morning divide
as if she, from gathered wisdom
has learned the clouds are right.

What a beautiful, spectacular way to write about the natural splendor of the sun and the moon, and their cycles! I truly love it, and the poetic language that you used all throughout. It has a deeply colorful feel to it, and it makes me recall so many beautiful, brilliant sunrises and sunsets that I have seen over the years! It is not a long poem, nor does it need to be. It is evocative of all that it is trying to represent, and that is enough to convey a world of beauty! Thank you for posting this on here... and, keep up the amazing poetic work. :)
