Unholy Communion
No! No goodbyes
Please!
Not even these
pieces of you.
A communion
Forever
I, eat this your flesh
I, drink this your blood.
Please!
Not even these
pieces of you.
A communion
Forever
I, eat this your flesh
I, drink this your blood.

IF YOU ARE NOT CHRISTIAN OR CATHOLIC

My 2 cents to explain this to readers who do not understand holy communion....it is believed that during Holy Communion as practiced in the Catholic Church - that when you eat the host (the little cracker like round wafer) and then drink the wine (red wine) essentially Christ has been - I am looking for words....resubstantiated...in effect...Christ is present and you have partaken of his flesh and drunk his blood. This is a very holy or perhaps the most holy time of the mass
Yes I liked this poem

Kitty dear: this poem was written for the short poem competition. Imagine an obsessive lover who does not want to be left behind and want to be part of her beloved. Imagine a scene where one wants to be part of or wants to carry a part of the lover forever. Imagine a stilted, demented mind: and there is the unholy communion of cannibalism as oppose to the Catholic's communion: the wafer/bread as Christ's body and the wine as Christ's blood.
fiction....

from the title i would think that this is about vampires or warewolves or something but then again it could be about how people do in church when they say they eat of His Flesh & drink of His Blood in an effort to put a physical attachment to their beliefs.....but the Word Says True Faith Is Blind.....great post as usual grace....;)

Wicked desires...

Grace, just believe me when I say I can absolutely relate to this short poem. I have once been loved by a lover who desired to carry my genitalia wherever she went. She said it was hers to keep.

Good God, Divine Idiong!! Wow, she must really be possessive. I dont know whether I could call you lucky. I know of someone that spy on her boyfriend almost everyday and I thought that was pretty unhealthy. The poem is what I supposed a demented person would want to do, but I don't know if in real life one would actually want to do that.
