BIKINI STRING
i know
you were somebody's
sugar babe
some boy's
sweet
mischief
some shy soul's
unrequited love
some rounder's
best thing yet
i know you
caught
the eyes
of a thousand men
just by promenading
that boardwalk --
know you were that
sweet bronze beauty,
almost holy,
gracing
the sand,
laid out
on that lucky towel
and the breakers
rolling in
and the scent
of sweat
and suntan lotion
and the way
that hot breeze
caught your
hair,
just a strand
across your pretty face
and Van Morrison
on the radio
and Jesus
don't i wish
we were there
right now
when the future
shined in our young minds
bright as summer sun
you were somebody's
sugar babe
some boy's
sweet
mischief
some shy soul's
unrequited love
some rounder's
best thing yet
i know you
caught
the eyes
of a thousand men
just by promenading
that boardwalk --
know you were that
sweet bronze beauty,
almost holy,
gracing
the sand,
laid out
on that lucky towel
and the breakers
rolling in
and the scent
of sweat
and suntan lotion
and the way
that hot breeze
caught your
hair,
just a strand
across your pretty face
and Van Morrison
on the radio
and Jesus
don't i wish
we were there
right now
when the future
shined in our young minds
bright as summer sun
