mercury square neptune

 submerged, in a sea of sorrow
       mercurial phantoms, and I play…
 
                            (my temporary sentinels of solace)...
 
                        guard me from Stygian demons,
     of decaying breath, speaks in tongues;
                   [of its] desire to tear and swallow soul, whole.
 
                  distress rolls in, out like obsidian waves;
        finding my anguished heart as its shore…
 
                   (hide and seek with my mind.)
 
      kaleidoscope glimpses of lucid dreams…
         bathe me in luminous hope
 
crystal fish tickle my feet…  
while…
        
         wishes remain muted in Poseidon’s
          amethyst lair;  
  inside his oceanic depths.
