I’m no stranger to heartbreak
I know what it feels like to have my heart ache.
I’ve only been blind a few times before
But baby, you’ve blinded me once more.

Maybe it’s all my fault.
I couldn’t love you like you need.
Maybe it’s all your fault.
Your love couldn’t be guaranteed.

I’ve fallen short of the finish line.
My knees all scraped and bruised.
But I could never keep up anyway
Hope fades after being used.

And I thought I was the lucky one.
Told myself I didn’t deserve your love.
Too good to be true usually is
Especially when push comes to shove.

But maybe it’s all my fault.
I couldn’t love you like you need.
Maybe it’s all your fault.
Your love couldn’t be guaranteed.

The lights beam of deflection.
Call me crazy if you want to.
A little unsure but give me some time.
I’ll know exactly what to do.

Calm, cool and collected.
I’ll go through the pain with grace.
Just like the lies rolling off your lips
And the empty kisses on my face.

Yeah, maybe it’s all my fault.
I couldn’t love you like you need.
Maybe it’s all your fault.
Your love couldn’t be guaranteed.

Someday, I’m gonna be just fine.
One day, I’ll love someone like they need.
Someone who’s not running from themselves.
Someone whose love is guaranteed.
