There were more shocking photos and sceneries, but this one came close. I was about that boy's age when I left and I had a very similar shirt like that. It certainly brought me back many memories.

How much do we overlook so we can enjoy the sunshine and our breakfast cereals. I wonder at people who invite the weight of the world to crush them. I hear you.

Yes, we can have peace of mind now, but thinking about those in need, especially those who are suffering around the world, it can certainly break people's heart.

It was mostly quiet brother but that is a blessing as well. My brother came for a brief visit, my elderly mother had a serious panic attack. In life our joys and sorrows are always intertwined I guess. I hope the new year is one of more joy than sorrow for you.
