Swept Away
She had shattered into
a million pieces
and scattered across
his marble floor,
he swept her up
and threw all
she was outside of
his front door.
He told her, she was a mess
and he wouldn't clean it up,
not anymore.
She gathered all her bits
and headed straight
to the liquor store.

I like the contrast of the photo to your piece here, as if the porcelain rooster falls and there is no way of putting it back (at least it's what I'm thinking) and once shattered, it's easier to delve deeper into our addictions/demons.
