She had shattered into
a million pieces
and scattered across
his marble floor,
he swept her up
and threw all
she was outside of
his front door.
He told her, she was a mess
and he wouldn't clean it up,
not anymore.
She gathered all her bits
and headed straight
to the liquor store.
