Lightning Strikes
and I fall
in[to] grace
like a head
touching pillow
simultaneously
clouds breaking
into rain
this storm too
shall pass

Knowing the storm will pass can be such a balm for an aching heart. I love the weaving you did in this poem. It’s beautiful.

Finding belief, yet the soul weeps for past sins and present desires. is it love you found or does this allude to the divine or possibly both. This poem contains the magic of hope and the turmoil of the soul. What an amazing write.

In seeking grace, this poem rather spilled out of me. Sometimes the divine speaks this way, in ink that leaks onto the page, without much thought, guided only by the heart and intuition.
Now reflecting on a more observational take - I was seeking to understand what grace even feels like, how it may be gently laying 'in the bed I've made,' falling asleep to the sound of rain; that one need not be consumed by regret, need not loose sleep over such, that hope and renewal do come.
This poem feels like a self-soothing heated blanket I decided to turn on, and fell asleep to dream under.
Thank you for such depth of engagement!
