My Light

It's so hard to find the words
Those words that say how I feel
So much has gone before us
So much heartache
So much insecurity
So much lost
So much found
At last
So much, so much found
So much returned
So much more, slowly
Coming back
It's hard
Not yet quite there
There's a lightness
That's been absent
Like an old friend
Missing for a while
Creeping slowly back
To drive away
The darkness
That found
An unwanted home
Within these old
Bones of mine
You my love
Are that light
That keeps my heart warm
You've kept that candle burning
To guide me through
That endless night
You've kept the shadows
At bay
The darkness away
You fill me up
With your endless light
Thank you my love
Yours

Author's Note
We all face dark periods in our lives, I am no different.
This was without light, without hope, vast sprawling emptiness.
But through it all, I had my rock, my anchor, my Goddess
There was a way, I found my path.
I returned from the brink of the abyss
