cherished
you sadly play my notes,
up and down my lithe frame
as sensations flow I speak in metaphors
it's you I adore, it's you I abhor
my God it's what you do to me
in my sacredness I am solemn
I don't want to admit what my body knows...
you awaken my truths
so carefully hidden down deep
peeling back each layer
and behold the woman I am
I sigh then silently I utter prayers to the man you are
hardened steel tempered from life
strong enough to keep your head
powerful enough to desire
my greed. your controlled discipline
in the late hours I keen from your affections
I am so much more than I was before
you touch the soul of me
and I understand what it is to be cherished
