Let me

Let me be your scribe
How I vow to caress every page in your novel and drown in your story
Let me carry your words onto Papyrus, flattering and gentle on the eyes
Speak the words my queen, yes! Speak them aloud, the ones that demand my innermost attention
Let me devour your thoughts
and let these eyes observe your nightly rituals, in the hopes that I may one day hold the ink that falls from your pen

Author's Note
I couldn’t help but wonder as I was writing in my journal one night how one item. must feel, to be used and handled  for my purpose and not another,  and what it would be like if inanimate things that are present in our most sacred moments could speak, and what they would say.
