Just a silly little hipster poem
In mobile
A trajectory began
of falsehood
.. aggravated by an influence with the human importance of a Mall rat
Oh.but the tragically hip get ups!
Fedoras for one, houndstooth and skinny jeans for another
Winged eyelashes glued on by the most determined of Vietnamese salon techs
Glossy
Glossy
Glossy
Lips
The cats and kittens alike
She just wanted that kind of cool for a moment
And so,
She listened to the Black Keys for the first time that night
And spread her legs
Dug n deep
And rubbed away to the beat of Gold on the Ceiling
She would beg Daddy
To pretty
Pretty
Please,
buy a Fedora

You never leave your reader disappointed. So many hipster images, cool jazz cat, and killer picture make for a great song, which this poem definitely is. Makes me see Haight Asbury as it was back in the 60’s. (Not that I was there and most certainly not that I was old enough to know about it. I read about. Yeah…that’s it. I read about it.) great write. H🌷
