Death of a Vision
Death of a Vision
The petals
Have fallen
Full force
On the floor,
And everyday
Beauty
Has stopped
At the door.
Dreams
And all visions
Of true
So demure
Have reached
Their crescendo,
No longer
Endure.
Everything
Wanted
And wished for
Delights
Unfolded
And folded
And moved
Through the nights.
Gone
And forgiven
As rain
To the sun,
Now twain
On horizons
Where once
Only one.
The petals
Have fallen
Full force
On the floor,
And everyday
Beauty
Has stopped
At the door.
Dreams
And all visions
Of true
So demure
Have reached
Their crescendo,
No longer
Endure.
Everything
Wanted
And wished for
Delights
Unfolded
And folded
And moved
Through the nights.
Gone
And forgiven
As rain
To the sun,
Now twain
On horizons
Where once
Only one.
