Dissociate
When there is nothing left to hold
Except a rusty chain
When smiles are distant memories
To not appear again
Enter battle, my swords drawn
Fallen down
No one to lean on
Broken mirrors surround my face
I see the scars
I have been replaced
Question who have I become
Repress, repress
Do not be dumb
Find it in myself to stay
Flames ignite
I guess I'll play
Hands are melted to the chain now
Not much left
And I can’t explain how
I try to focus on my task
Broken glass
Reflection of what is just a mask
Searching me to find a seam
Just a glimpse
Of who I've been
A shadow forming in my place
It is too late
I've been erased
Nothing left to do but stare
As I lift off,
And turn to air.
Except a rusty chain
When smiles are distant memories
To not appear again
Enter battle, my swords drawn
Fallen down
No one to lean on
Broken mirrors surround my face
I see the scars
I have been replaced
Question who have I become
Repress, repress
Do not be dumb
Find it in myself to stay
Flames ignite
I guess I'll play
Hands are melted to the chain now
Not much left
And I can’t explain how
I try to focus on my task
Broken glass
Reflection of what is just a mask
Searching me to find a seam
Just a glimpse
Of who I've been
A shadow forming in my place
It is too late
I've been erased
Nothing left to do but stare
As I lift off,
And turn to air.
